These Mittens are made from a thick Italian Navy Wool blanket. It might qualify as a below zero mitten as my others but has not been beta tested. I hand sew them with a very strong braided waxed thread with non cutting needle. The white welt adds strength and warmth to the mitten. Blankets when used for mittens block most if not all of the wind especially on wind chill days. This mitten will block all of the wind.
I've made these mittens for a few years for my friends and family and they have convinced me to make them for market. They have raved about how great they are especially for people who like to be outdoors and have warm hands.
