Chawan 14, tea bowl deals created according to the art of raku.

Tea bowl - chawan - to drink loose leaf tea or matcha. This bowl is a unique piece that I created and trained by hand in my workshop in Vendée. I used clay in which I incorporated more or less large chamotte. Its enamelling is the result of personal research. This bowl is cooked in a gas oven deals and drawn at 990 °. I smoked this bowl with a mixture of chips of different species of wood and plants (collected beforehand, dried, and processed by me). The combination of thermal shock and lack of oxygen allowed him to develop these enamels that are the signature of his raku cooking.
