Linen Fabric with rare horizontal stripe pattern in natural deals tones made for household use brown stripes
This bolt of beautiful homespun European linen dates from the mid to late 1800's. ~~ This wonderful fabric is hand loomed, and is a lovely pale, mottled variable oatmeal tone. There is a stunning chocolate brown horizontal stripe pattern (repeating in groups over every 40 inches or so) that run parallel to the length of this bolt. This bolt was probably woven for household use, like for blankets, pillows, towels etc. ~ This bolt deals has a lovely, heavy, floppy feel that is somewhat coarse but also soft! Gorgeous texture! This fabric is a heavy weight linen with a lovely open twill weave. This bolt is ideal for window treatments, table runners, pillows, upholstery, bags etc! Machine washable over and over and over, just test a small sample first to make sure the natural dyes won't bleed! ~*~ ~ Wonderfully high quality. MEASUREMENTS : I am selling this beautiful fabric by the yard, so each purchase is for a length that measures about 18.5 inches wide by 36 inches (1 yard) long. ~ Should you wish to purchase a longer continuous length, simply increase the quantity button and you will receive your purchase as one uncut, continuous length of fabric. For example, if you increase the quantity to 2, you will receive one long length that measures about 18.5 inches wide by 92 inches long.
CONDITION : This gorgeous textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition! There are some small pale marks on this length that may or may not wash out entirely. The ground tone can be variable, and occasionally has a mottled look. The edges can be somewhat uneven in width due to the skill of the weaver. Really beautiful condition!!! Ideal for rustic, timeworn, or natural interiors. Condition reflected in the price!
