Sterling silver is a precious metal and deals will naturally tarnish when it is exposed to oxygen. To keep its shine, keep it in an air tight plastic zippy bag when you are not wearing it. Or, if it is already tarnishing, simply use a polishing cloth / dip it into a sterling silver cleaning solution.
