Vintage opaline glass icon - Sacred Heart of Jesus. The icon is featuring Our Lord Jesus Christ in warm, vibrant colors. Beautiful artisan deals work, expressive and inspiring. The icon was made circa 1960's -1970's in the style of Gebroeders Van Paridon (in 1930s-1960s Atelier of Van Paridon brothers in Amsterdam was famous for their opaline glass artwork).

The devotion to the Sacred Heart (also known as the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus) is one of the most well-known Catholic devotions, wherein the heart of Jesus is viewed as a symbol of "God's boundless and passionate love for mankind".

Handcrafted stained opaline glass painting is encased in a wooden frame with a depth of 2/3 inches (1.7 cm).
