This is a beautiful planter with a softness in color and design. Here a sweet Southern Belle lady sits on the ground beside a brown stump. She must have been out for a stroll with her puppy when she decided to stop and drink in a deep breath of the fall air. The days were winding down toward winter and there was a chill in the air. She is dressed for the cool air in her long sleeved pink, full length dress. Her deals lovely dress has a cascade of gold spaghetti leaves and a single pink rose to one side of her skirt. The dress has a wide collar that is almost like a stole over her shoulders. Her light brown hair is caught up in a low bun just above the nape of her neck. On the top of her hair she wears a matching pink hat. It, too, has one single pink rose and gold spaghetti, and a delightful large, yellow feather plume. Her hat and dress have nice gold lines of definition and are fashioned so beautifully. As she sits resting from the day, her puppy sits contentedly on her lap. Her face is very lovely with a fair complexion, lightly blushed cheeks, a high forehead with delicate arched black eyebrows, black eyes and lashes, a button nose and heart-shaped red lips (a signature touch of this artist). This piece is much akin to the beloved Josef Originals line of women planters, in dress, in style, and in artistry. The base is marked with "7C28". Several styles of this planter series were made by this company and would make a fun hunt to find them all! A compliment to your planter collection.

Body Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Crazing as typical for this type of figurine and age may be present (see photo). Lovely color and low gloss finish. A surface paint scratch can be see at the back of the hat (see photos). Beautiful roses and gold spaghetti. Needs a little dust cleaning.
