Large monochrome black dragons and deals city scape on waxed paper parasol umbrella 1950s 1960s home decor vintage

Large natural toned parasol decorated with black monochrome images of dragons, city scapes and oriental patterns.

A striking authentic hand crafted Asian parasol painted with dark monochrome black dragons, phoenixes, pattern embellishments and lanterns dotted around the edges. Estimated to be 1950's or earlier. This vintage parasol is made of waxed rice paper & bamboo.

Condition: Good condition, fully collapsible. There is one visible tear where a spoke is sticking through the wax paper and typical wrinkles where the paper meets the bamboo spoke frame. This is typical of this type of parasol. 

Vintage items have through their use and their age natural signs of use. So the object is given a beautiful patina that vintage lovers appreciate so much.
