These pieces are an exploratory part of a series I began working on this past spring exploring the use of texture and color. Each image is created by painting directly onto a gelatin plate using brushes, brayer, fingertips and found objects. Archival paper is then placed over the painted surface and pulled off to reveal an original monotype print. Each piece bears artist signature and is unique and one-of-a-kind.
