The amphora is of course hollow, and is securely sealed by a premium quality stopper made from Portuguese cork. There's plenty of room inside the amphora for, well, whatever you want really, and we hear from many customers that they use their amphora for keeping the ashes of a loved one close to their heart - please be sure to secure your amphora with beeswax or sealing wax around the cork.
The amphora is hand-carved (this piece has taken over a year to perfect - making things hollow it turns out is no mean feat) and cast in the finest timeless bronze. It's not heavy at all. Hand finished, hand polished - this amphora is well on its way to becoming your new favourite necklace.
The Amphora measures 1 1/4" high (without the cork), and 1" wide. The two bronze rings holding the Amphora to the necklace can be removed, so that it can be used as a keepsake as well. The cork is exceptionally strong, and will stand up to years of use.
The amphora comes on your choice of chain or leather - all leather necklaces are adjustable and come with our signature Lost Apostle clasp (shown in the last photo).
My wife and I took a long time ensuring our Amphora was a testament to the thousands of years of history that lay behind it - a vessel that was born in the Bronze Age has now come full circle.
