Solid brass single bookend / doorstop featuring a rustic peasant couple praying. Depicts a famous painting by Jean Francois Millet entitled Angelus. Simply marked "CANADA" on the back. About 4 1/2 inches square by 2 1/8 inches deep. Very good vintage used condition, some very minor signs of wear and weathering.
