1919 Effanbee Mary Jane doll on a German kidelene body with composition deals wood arms & legs with extra joints TLC
Rarely seen, Effanbee Mary Jane on German style kid leather body. This doll was likely made to compete with the German bisque head dolls during wartime. Marked Effanbee on back of neck and front of body. This girl has been loved! She has sawdust stuffing, there is some cotton on deals her knees where she was "leaking" sawdust. Has all fingers and toes. I don't notice any repairs, but for sure there is some repainting and it flakes off. She would love a spa day with that special soul who is able to restore these old dolls, or can just be left as is. Head is stuffed with newspaper for shipping to protect her eyes, which are nice and clear, but off just a bit, please see pictures. A nice piece of history with this unique firl, she is big, I measured her at 20.5 inches. Replaced wig, is not glued on and can be easily changed if desired. Dress and shoes are not original, dress is very worn and faded. Snaps in back, top snap doesn't close. Please see photos for more detail. Will refund shipping overages
