Two beautiful Victorian German Majolica portrait plates made in the 18th Century.
The colours of these plates are rare to find and absolutely stunning- a beautiful bright blue glaze with an olive green cameo, and a complimentary candy pink with teal. It's incredible to think these bang on- trend colour palettes were just as popular 140 years ago!

These would originally have been used for visitors to leave their business card and would look fantastic now as part of a vintage kitchen display/mantlepiece art/hallway plate/jewellery plate. Any excuse!

In great vintage condition considering their age withno cracks or chips, there is some wear to the glazing on the raised details (see deals photos) which personally I think adds to the charm!

The cameos are works of art and have been heavily set and glazed giving a 3D effect. Description cannot do them justice!
