Lovely French Antique Novel by Pierre Ninous " La fille de l'ouvrier" ( The laborer's daughter).

Pierre Ninous ( aswell as Paul d'Aigremont) is the pen name of Jeanne Thérèse Ninous ( 1841-1907).

She, like many other female writers ( George Sand etc) had to use a male pen name in order to be published.



A lovely book and if you don't read French you can still use it to highlight your personal library!
