Philodendron Squamiferum deals RED 8" Pot ~Exact Plant!~ | US Seller, Fully Rooted | Beautiful Rare Houseplant | Us Seller, Florida Grown
~Exact plant pictured is what you will receive- moss pole included!~
This nice and full climbing philodendron has super fun florida-beauty-esque shaped leaves but with deals funky, hairy red petioles; a light mint-green color with a silver color shift. They are fast growers once established and will highly benefit from a sturdy moss pole to promote larger, more relaxed leaf growth.
Philodendron prefer a warm, humid environment ranging from 65-85°F
Fertilize once a month during the Spring and Summer, and at half-strength every other watering during Fall and Winter when plant growth slows down
After receiving your new plant, please *do not* repot it right away. Wait a minimum of one to two weeks, always keeping it out of direct light or cold drafts to avoid shock, to give the plant adequate time to acclimate to its newfound environment and all the changes that can come with that.
When you're ready to pot-- they love a rich, chunky, well-draining mix. I do a combination of quality potting soil, coarse perlite, chunky crushed charcoal (either horticultural or regular grilling charcoal chunks smashed into smaller pieces works) and manure or worm castings for time-released fertilization.
It will THRIVE with medium, *very indirect* sunlight. (Under a larger plant is perfect-- anywhere direct, strong sunlight beams cannot hit the leaves) Direct sun will burn and scar the precious leaves.
They prefer consistently moist soil, but be sure it's well-draining and not sitting in excess water.
