NANCY FENTON'S BIOGRAPHY: Nancy Gollinger Fenton was born April 2, 1950. She earned a B.A. from Denison University in 1972 and continued her education at Ohio University where she took Business and Marketing courses. Nancy started at Fenton Art Glass Company in 1982 as an assistant in the Sales Department and as Merchandising Coordinator. She later became the Director of Design, a fitting position since Nancy loved keeping up with the colors and trends in home design. She was responsible for selecting new Fenton colors and directing the process of developing new products.

FENTON ART GLASS HISTORY: Founded in 1905 by brothers Frank L. and John W. Fenton, the Fenton Art Glass Company ranked among the world's foremost producers of handmade art glass. Fenton was the largest manufacturer of handmade colored glass in the United States, and the company was renowned for innovative glass colors as well as hand-painted decorations on pressed and blown glassware. In 2005, the Fenton Art Glass Company celebrated its 100th anniversary. The firm was then led by third- and fourth-generation Fenton family members, who worked side by side with more than 100 employees, including skilled glassworkers and decorators, to create beautiful, handmade art glass in Williamstown, West Virginia. The company ceased traditional glassmaking in 2011.

A bit about vintage...a vintage item is at least 20 years old. Sometimes items can be found that have been stored for years and have remained somewhat pristine; others have been gently used and may bear the signs of this but this patina of age can add to the item's charm. All items are described as accurately as I possibly can, any major flaws and defects will be noted in my photos which are provided to illustrate each item. Items may appear larger than they are, make sure you carefully review the dimensions listed in the product description.
