This lovely blue and amber opaque glass owl pitcher was made by the Kanawha Glass Company which operated in Dunbar, West Virginia from 1955 – 1987. Made of pressed glass which is manufactured by dropping molten glass into a full size iron mold and immediately ramming in an iron plunger forcing the glass into the mold. Although it is very hot, the glass solidifies almost immediately and the object is then removed from the mold. The intricate details of the bird's face and plumage make this vintage find a treasure for any collector of owls or vintage deals glassware. In great condition will ship asap the blue owl is slightly bigger then the amber owl.
