Collection of Five Antique & Vintage Books in Hues of Red with Black Lettering on Spines deals (Somber or Mysterious Sounding Titles)

This listing is for a group of five antique and vintage hardcover books which are in hues of red with black lettering on the spines. Some of the books have decorative front covers. The books range in height from 7.5" to 9 3/8" tall and they occupy about 6 3/8" of shelf width when lined up together as in the first photo. These books all have somber or mysterious sounding titles. You will receive the following books:

"The Black Rose" by Thomas B. Costain, Illustrated by Herbert Ryman (Copyright 1953, Doubleday & Company, Inc.) - Contains several double page color illustrations.
"Take My Life" by Winston Graham (Copyright 1967 deals, Doubleday & Company, Inc.)
"The Inner Shrine: A Novel of Today" (Copyright 1909, Harper & Brothers) - Contains several black & white illustrations. There are some spots of what appears to be white paint on the front cover.
"The Man Who Didn't Exist" by Geoffrey Homes (Triangle Books Edition Published October 1938) - The inner flaps of the dust jacket are adhered inside the front and back covers, but the exterior portion of the dust jacket has been removed (see detail photos). There is a small patch of loss to the fabric binding on the lower front edge of the spine.

These books are vintage and show some indications of age/wear, including (but not limited to) some foxing or discoloration to the pages, areas of fading or discoloration to the covers and/or spines, and some edge wear to the covers and spines. Some books may have markings to the interior, such as handwritten inscriptions, lending library stamps, etc. These books are being sold "as is" - please view all photos at full size for a better look.
