This hand spun yarn has been hand dyed in shades of blue, purple, orange and pink. Lustrous and silky, this duo is wonderfully soft and strong and has excellent drape. Imagine this as a cuddly soft cowl, infinity scarf, or hat and mitts combo, or you could weave with it to make lovely fabric.

The Bluefaced Leicester is known for its exceptional fleece. BFL is classified as a longwool breed because of the way their locks of wool are formed. Its fleece is in high demand from knitters and fiber artists alike because of its “next to the skin” softness and lustrous shine. These qualities produce a yarn with excellent drape, that is also very soft and squishy. Of the three types of Leicesters, the Bluefaced Leicester produces the finest fleece, with a count of 24-28 microns.

This listing is for two skeins of Bulky weight yarn as shown, measuring a total of 406 yards.

This yarn will felt. If that is not your intention, please be sure to handwash gently in cool water and lay flat to dry.
