This is a very rare piece. The enamel is almost perfect. On close inspection, I found a very small & shallow flake in the black top coat on the last section before the tail. It's very hard to find, but needs to be mentioned.

Just about 3-9/16" (9.1 cm) long including the soldered bail. Not including the bail this is about 3-3/8" (8.6 cm) long by 7/8" (2.2 cm) wide at the tail. The bail is hallmarked with Arezzo Italy's 'AR' along with the makers mark '138' inside a cartouche without a star. This style cartouche dates it deals between 1944-1968. Nice weight - 12.1 g / .43 oz.

Makers mark information: A.O.A. srl, San Zeno Strada F 9, 52100 Arezzo (AR) Italy - Established since at least 1972, registered "138 AR" in Italian cartouche.
