Add a special touch to your desk with a hand turned Olive Wood pen from the Holy Land. This Beautiful wood comes from olive trees, the type that grew in Gethsemane and around Jerusalem where Jesus walked. Every Two years the olive trees are pruned so that they bear fruit. These beautiful pieces are made from these pruning by Christian craftsmen living in Bethlehem.

The Olive Tree is a blessed tree in the holy book. From its trunks and branches (after storing it in a suitable environment for many years) artists build their masterpieces. These items make perfect gifts. Olive Wood souvenirs do not require much care. Olive oil is naturally protecting them from corrosion and changes of color.

FireFlyGoods' pens are all HAND TURNED with care in our shop. They are made from a variety of materials detailed in the item title or as noted in the description of the specific item. Picture shows actual item(s) unless otherwise stated.

-- If the listing is for a pen that will be ASSEMBLED TO ORDER you will find the picture of the pen body that will be used in the assembly. Another image is provided with examples of each finish and a corresponding name/number, Simply pick the finish of your choice from the drop down menu. All other details and materials are noted in the title or description.

Once your order has been processed through Etsy.com we will assemble the pen with the requested hardware. The pens is ready and shipped within 2 business days and typically goes out that afternoon or the following morning.

-- If the listing is for a PREASSEMBLED PEN you are purchasing the completed pen pictured in the listings provided images. Please contact us with any question related to that specific item if need be. All other details and materials are noted in the title or description.

Most pens are a single wood variety and are turned by hand in our shop. The variety of wood and any other details you may require are noted in the specific item description.

Our Multiwood pens are made from a variety of different woods. Any Multiwood product that is made with 2 or more DIFFERENT woods deals that are individually blocked in house.

If you have a special request for a style, finish, wood or really anything you may think of please contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate even the most obscure requests.

Pens come in funline and slimline styles. If you have a preference on either style we can get most finishes in either style. However, at this time we have only a select set available in hand. Please feel free to inquire with us directly if you need more clarification. We will help get you the RIGHT pen that you are looking for.

"My pens are hand turned in exotic and domestic hardwoods (or softwoods where possible). Each pen starts as a simple block/piece/chunk of wood purchased, found or provided to me. I process each pen without skipping a step or cutting corners. I take great care in each pen and treat it as not only a writing utensil, but as an artistic piece with a utilitarian purpose.

It is a pleasure to watch the piece of wood transform and evolve into the final product. What you end up with may be far from what the imagination presented at the start of the project. I never know what I may end up with, but I try to make each pen as unique as possible."
