Youth garment as pictured:
31" long from top of shoulder to frayed hem
22" long drop shoulder sleeves are 14" circumference and taper to wrist with 2" side slit.
Frayed edges can be cut back
28" chest/hem circumference with underarm gussets for extra fullness and ease in movement
7" side seam slit at side hem seam
7" vent at neck with large eyelets and rawhide ties

Handmade with a soft homespun rough look fabric for an authentic look.
No buttons, zippers or snaps.

Raw edges of sleeve cuffs and hem are meant to fray and can be cut back for a custom fit.

A custom made 6 x 7" faux suede belt with antique buckle has a faux leather possibilities pouch and fur on flap.

Do not launder fur as it is antique and will probably get damaged. Homespun wool has been pre-washed prior to construction.

Shoulder re-enforcements and neck facings are brown faux leather with neck gussets (nice detail).
Underarm gussets for extra roominess, as this coat is meant to be worn over clothing.

Shirts of the style known today as the
Eastern Longhunter Shirt were used
throughout the 1700s, into the early 1800s.
Most men wore these roomy hunting shirts
over one or deals more regular shirts that they
wished to keep clean.

The pullover style (waggoner's frock) is from
the French and Indian war period (1750-60s);
open front (1770s).
