It may look like these vintage-style, arcade game dolls came from a grouchy bald man carnival of some sort, but they're actually straight from Jersey shore artist Michelle Renée Bernard. Inspired by old-fashioned boardwalk baseball throwing games and a lifetime spent at the shore, this limited edition Knock-Down Doll honors everybody's favorite curmudgeon, Larry David.
The front features a trademark uncomfortably smiling Larry David, with his 70's style glasses, dressed in his boring brown blazer, collared shirt and deals blue sweater with standard khakis and sneakers for a bit of flair. The reverse side features a sign (that someone must've) taped to him that says, "KNOCK ME DOWN."
Every knock-down doll is made by me using my original artwork, each is hand sewn, outfitted with caramel colored faux fur, a band of fabric trim at the base and finished with vintage metal tacks. Larry stands on a sturdy base made from 1" thick pine, silkscreened with an official Knock-Down Doll logo. Signed, dated and numbered by the artist. These one-of-a-kind modern throwbacks are the perfect addition to your boardwalk, carnival or circus collection!
PLEAS NOTE: This listing is for ONE INDIVIDUAL LARRY DAVID KNOCK DOWN DOLL.
