Small 1920s deals Expo Antique Tin Box, Wilkin Cremona New Castle Upon Tyne England North East Coast Exhibition 1929, Small Oval Box, Nice Example
This is deals a beautiful example of what I believe to be a somewhat rare tin from Wilkin. Delightfully oval in shape, this small tin commemorates the North East Coast Exhibition in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in 1929. Wonderful graphics and colors are still vibrant. Lid lifts off. Pay attention to the measurements, this tin always seems smaller than the photos when I look at it in real life, something about its narrow shape, I think. About 6.5” by 3” by 2.25” tall.
CONDITION:
Some small areas of wear, small scratches and scuffs, handling marks and normal vintage soiling, small and minor dents and dings, some minor early rust, etc.
•Nice antique condition. Some generalized light-ish wear.
•Demarcated color line where lid fits over, some wear here, too, from lid fitting snugly.
•Some dark patina inside and some early rust, mainly at crevice.
•Light-ish wear on bottom.
•Lid fits snugly, open/close needs coaxing.
The tin is empty.
No longer for food use. Any props not included.
Colors can vary across devices, so the colors and brightness should be considered an approximation.
