This petticoat is made of simple olive linen. The whole thing is pleated onto a cotton twill tape waist band, and it ties at both sides, as was preferred for most 18th century petticoats. Among others things, this allows you some play in adjusting the deals waist to your size.

This piece is a useful standard for 18th century wardrobe. The pleating (as opposed to a drawstring) creates an authentic look and reduces extra bulk at the waist. It is most appropriate for the period 1700-1795.
