deals MATERIALS: This shawl is made of pure mulberry silk (crepe de shine, 12mm). Crepedeshine is the king of all silks. The fabric is substantial, full-bodied silk, and yet flowing and wonderfully draping.

METHOD: This shawl was eco-printed with a mix of red box eucalyptus (also known as 'fragrant gum' or 'silver dollar gum') and native Australian mistletoe leaves collected from my neighbourhood trees. The resulting leafprint design is the permanent shadow of the bushland where the leaves came from.

USE: Can be worn as a shawl or shoulder wrap or a scarf. Stand out from the crowd wearing natural colour on natural fibre.

COLOUR: The colours are a mix of green and burnt orange set against a gentle golden cream background. The colours imparted by Australian native plants on silk are substantive; with proper care, they will not run, wash off or fade.

CARE: Hand wash with mild detergent. Line dry in shade and iron on your iron's 'silk' setting.
