(Gameboy not included) For authenticity of GBA Pokemon games, always look for: four golden rectangles seen through the plastic on the back of the cartridge, stamped numbers/letters on the front label, and exam the cartridge board for things deals that shouldn't be there like typos and black blobs. Fire Red and Leaf Green do not have batteries since they don't have timed events like Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald do. These last 3 should always have a battery on the board, which is partially seen through the shell in the upper right portion on the front of the cartridge.
