Gilt and leather are a little more faded on the spines than the front covers with the elephant decoration which are surprisingly crisp and bright. The gilt on the top of the books is slightly faded. Spine ends are worn/scuffed, books have red ribbon bookmarks, although many have been rubbed through at the top. On the whole, bindings are nice and secure. Books measure nearly 7-1/4" tall x 4-5/8" wide. Entire set is as shown is 2-1/2" long/wide. Altogether a very handsome set. Do your homework- this is a phenomenal deal 9 total collectors books.
