Someone asked me what was the oldest Batman book I had. Since everything is on spreadsheets, it was easy to figure out. You are looking at a copy of Detective Comics 246 from August 1957. Yes, it is beat. The cover was hanging on by a thread but came off as I was taking pictures. Yes, this book has other issues and I encourage you to look at the pictures. There are 3 stories in this issue. In the first, Batman and Robin (Dick Grayson) appear in a story by co-creator Bill Finger and illusrated by Sheldon Moldoff and Charles Paris. There is a deals second story with Roy Raymond as the lead and a third story with J'onn the Martian Manhunter! The third story is the first appearance of Diane Meade who was important to the Manhunter in this timeframe. I also have a Detective 248 in much better condition. Looking for something, just ask like this person did! I have over 25K books and love to bundle books and combine shipping to save us money. Each book will come bagged/boarded.
