"Strawberry Thieves" is a tribute to one of my favorite arts and crafts artists, namely William Morris and his amazing woodblock pattern "Strawberry Thief".
To honor that particular work, I've reinterpreted the key elements of thrushes, strawberry plants, tulips and acanthus leaves, and given them a more naturalistic expression set in a tapestry-like world of interwowen plants and berries; a right cornucopia for these gluttonous little rascals.

Strawberry Thieves is a large print, measuring 80x50cm, and is printed in black Cranfield ink on Fabriano Unica printmaking paper. All prints in this limited edition are handmade and handpulled on a press, and each print is signed and numbered by the artist.

Due to it's size and the slightly structured texture of the paper, this print is extremely difficult to print, and is likely to have a bit of "lino noise" and slight variations. This is not to be considered a flaw, but is inherent to the handmade nature of the artwork and process, and a welcome reference to the particular tradition of printing deals it stems from :)
