This is a pen for a financial wizard. Or a paper money collector. Or a banker. Or anyone who signs a lot of big deals.
In short, this pen is made of money. Not figuratively. Literally.
When US currency is no longer usable (torn up, damaged, etc) it is shredded. Several companies buy these shredded bills and cast the pieces in resin for use in craft projects. I bought one of those resin blanks for this pen.
Owing to the nature of resin casting, the blank is clear in some places and the brass tubes of the pen can be seen through the money. Think of it as the gold shining through.
The pen itself is a fountain pen, using a refillable cartridge. It is a medium nib. I cannot speak to the writing quality, as I didn't deals think it wise to fill this pen before shipping it somewhere. It has "Iridium Point" and "Germany" engraved on it. I'm told Iridium points are a very good thing in a fountain pen.
