Antique Georgian bronze deals pipe tamper, gentleman

A charming antique, late Georgian, bronze pipe tamper.

The tamper is free standing with an engraved base, it features the figure of a portly gentleman standing.

Early Naive design.

His face is slightly worn from many years of tamping, the head is used as the tamper end.

Made in England from solid bronze with an aged patina, c1810s

Condition:
Good used condition overall, overall patina and age commensurate wear.
