Chawan hand formed from a heavily textured, gritty shigaraki type clay. Lots deals of small feldspar chips distinguish this very interesting clay. This piece has a beautiful running glaze that is milky white tinted by the blue running through it. The feldspar chips can be seen and felt on the whole exterior, and along with the deep indentations make for a very nice bowl to handle. Tea Bowl by George Watson artist potter. This tea bowl measures 3-3/4" across the top, it is 2-1/2" high, and the foot is 2 1/8" diameter. The weight is 10.7 ounces. It is, of course, in new, perfect condition. Unsigned.
