Hand deals painted and shibori silk scarf

This is a silk scarf, hand painted and then shibori dyed. Colors morph from magenta to purple to blue, with black shibori stripes. All of my fabric starts out either white or black. This started white. I dyed an undercoat of 8 to 10 color blends. When that dried, I overpainted in blues, reds and purples. I then steamed, rinsed and dried the fabric. Then I wrapped the fabric around the pole, wrapped string around it in a tight slightly diagonal pattern, then hand painted black dye on the exposed silk. I left it to dry for a couple of days, then unwrapped it from the pole, steamed, rinsed and dried deals it again and then finished the edges with a serge hem.

Dry clean is recommended.
