This is a very nice French lardy Staunton chess set made by Cavalier/Pleasentime games company. Circa 1950's/60's. The pieces have some varnish loss and the dark king has a small aging crack at the base. I am happy to fill it and paint it for you if it matters to you but it's too small to be a bother to me. The nieces are mildly weighted and all have their felt bases.
