A fine piece of glazed/polished cotton from the 1930's depicting the Coronation of King Edward VIII. This commemorative print with a glazed blue cotton background has scenes for King Edward's Coronation in 1936 including the gates of Buckingham Palace, the guards of Buckingham Palace and Edward VIII with his crown and the words “Dieu Et Mon deals Droit”.
It has survived in excellent condition with only a small spot of staining in the upper left corner and a few pin marks in the top edge where it was hung. The top and bottom edge have a stitched border.
