Stunning Wedgwood jewelry or trinket box in the traditional blue color. Made in England in the 1950's this Jasperware round box with lid has a scalloped edge with the Sacrifice to Aesculapius on the lid, and an oak and acorn border with Cupids around sides of the dish. It is in excellent condition with no chips nor scratches. You would want to take this home with you right away before it sells! It is a beautiful traditional piece that makes a deals perfect housewarming gift, birthday gift, wedding gift, mother's day gift, Christmas gift, Hanukkah gift, or a gift for a vintage or antique collector! The dish, trinket or jewelry box comes with a lid as can be seen in the pictures. On the lid is the Greek sacrifice to Aesculapius. On the bottom of the box it says "Wedgwood" and has the makers mark "Made in England". It also has the letter V and the number 69. This is a wonderful piece that you will cherish years to come through many generations. The box measures 4.75 in diameter and 1.75 inches high. It is made from the fine Wedgwood porcelain or ceramic.
