This is an 18K (marked) yellow gold coin holder pendant with a textured border. Inside the holder deals is a vintage Tibetan 5 sho copper coin. This coin was minted in copper from 1947 to 1953, and was one of the last coins minted by Tibet. The front features a raised design with a snow lion, three mountains and two suns. The other side has date information in the center, bordered by the name of the Tibetan government, one syllable in each of the petals of a lotus flower. The pendant is 1 3/8 inches in diameter and weighs 11.4 grams (which includes the copper coin). This unusual pendant is in excellent condition.
