Antique Victorian carved BREAD treen handle English Bread Slicer - THOMAS TURNER deals Sheffield Steel

A superb Victorian English carved treen handle bread slicer. The wood is sycamore I think.

This bread carver, with its carved wooden handle is in wonderful condition for its age. No splits or worm!!

It has carving of the word BREAD along the handle.

The handle is good and chunky and still nice and clear. The colouring and patina of the wood is lovely.

The steel is in good but well deals used condition.

It is still very usable being in steel. It has etching in the blade with wording - ENCORE THOMAS TURNER & CO SHEFFIELD.

The steel has tarnished a little with age, but this does not detract from being an excellent piece of vintage treen kitchenalia which will look lovely on display.

Total Length - 28.5 cms, blade length inc collar - 16.5 cms, blade width - 2.5 cms, handle length - 12 cms.
