All of Meb's Kitchenwares pieces are created in our off-grid workshop in Northeastern Connecticut. We use hand tools along with power tools that Tom has adapted to suit the specific needs of our craft. Our finishing process is meticulous. Each piece is dipped in water to raise the grain before being sanded smooth again. This process is repeated twice, then the piece is hand-rubbed with 2 coats of non-toxic boiled linseed oil and given time in between coats to properly cure. This process ensures our kitchenwares are food-safe, lustrous and smooth with very little care needed after use.
