The illustrations have tissue guards with photo titling in red opposite the picture. An attractive two-volume travelogue in fine condition. There is a prev owner's name written neatly in ink on the front blank endpaper, otherwise unmarked.
Edmondo De Amicis (1846 – 1908) was an Italian novelist, journalist, poet and short-story writer. His best-known book is Cuore, a children's novel translated into English as Heart.
