How sweet Mrs. Lady Rabbit is! On her way to town in her finest dress and bonnet. Love her hat with the pink roses on it. And I love how gracefully she holds her skirt up. I want those blue shoes she has.

Lots of great details and fabulous cheerful bright colors makes this a particularly charming cookie jar. Look at the flowers painted on her dress, and how pretty her yellow bag is. The bag has a rose on it to match her bonnet.

She is in very good vintage condition. Has one small chip in front, I circled the area in red. It looks like it was colored in, you can see it's lighter blue there. It does not detract from the charm of this wonderful rabbit!

She measures approximately 9 inches long by 9 inches wide and is approximately 14 inches tall. She is solid deals and is heavy, over 4 pounds. So shipping is a bit more than usual.

Cookie jars are so evocative of comfort and home. I love this old poem by Christopher Morley, entitled “Animal Crackers”. I remember it from childhood. Here is the first verse:

“Animal crackers and cocoa to drink,
That is the finest of suppers, I think;
When I'm grown up and can have what I please
I think I shall always insist upon these.”

And I bet his mom kept those animal crackers in a great cookie jar!
