Bitsy, evolved from the many cloth fabric bits and pieces I used to create her. Bitsy is a handmade folk art rag doll, mostly hand sewn—and I mean with A LOT of stitches. She's modern but retro, quirky in Boho hippie style. She is pieced with multi-colored, multi-textured fabrics, yarns, beads, and baubles.

Bitsy comes with one of her favorite Flat Pets—we call them Flat Pets because they are relatively flat and fit nicely inside their carrier bags. Flat Pets are hand sewn, unique, soft felt dogs, puppies, cats, kitties, or other funny quirky pets housed in their own mini pet carrier cloth bags.

The materials used to make Bitsy and her Flat Pets' fashionista clothing and accessories range from new, vintage, and antique cottons to retro aprons from the 1930's and up. There are plenty of cotton and silky fabrics, wool, burlap, and linen, too, in varied colorful solids, prints, and patterns. Bitsy has lots of lavender, green, aqua, yellow, red, pink, and blue—a rainbow of happy colors.

Bitsy is full of a little bit of everything, sort of like a pre-apocalyptic gypsy, and she's just for fun. She's sweet and lively and makes a great gift for any occasion. She sits nicely on a shelf, coffee table, fireplace mantel, or desktop surrounded by antiques, candles, and other home décor items.
