These wonderful kimono's have a true elegant silky feel, and were designed for special occasions and ceremonies in Japan, particularly weddings, festivals and funerals. They were often worn underneath a haori. However they make for beautiful robes, dressing gowns, or simply for lounging around in something silky and luxurious.
