This item may be used as a ceramic planter or as a fruit and vegetable basket. Presenting this item filled with succulents or tropical fruit would make any host happy.
It started its life on my potter's wheel as a round cylinder without a base, and I then stretched it into an oval shape. I added the base and handles at a later stage. My aim in creating this item was to make a ceramic tool box and therefore the handle is beveled along its length, just as a real tool box would be, in order to be carried comfortably in the hand. I created ceramic "screws" at the handle joints to add to the tool box appearance.

This item is handmade by me on the potter's wheel. I can create another one by order in any shape or size and in any glaze that you may see on other items in my shop. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your requirements.

My work is designed and created with much love, always with the utmost consideration for its use.
This item is made from ceramic stoneware and is fired to a temperature of 1200 degrees celsius (2192 Fahrenheit).
It is glazed with lead-free and food safe glazes and is ideal for use in the oven and microwave but not over an open flame.
It is dishwasher safe.
If the item is out of stock, I can make another one, but the new item may vary slightly in size. That's the beauty of handmade objects.
I work alone and hope you understand that creating new items will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
