A vintage retro perpetual desk calendar with dials to spin day, date and month. Made from plastic, cylindrical in shape standing on a plinth and black in colour, this would make a stylish addition to any desk as a nice piece of mid century modern.
Would say it dates from 1970s.
The days and months are changed by moving the large black dials to either side, unusually they click in place one by one (often dial calendars run continuously).
The date is changed by the smaller central black deals dial on the left, and these also click into place one by one - unusually, both digits move by the one dial (so 19 automatically moves to 20 with one twist) which is very unusual as normally there would be 2 dials for the 2 digits.
The calendar measures 13.5cm (5¼ inches) wide by 5cm (2 inches) deep and it stands 6.5cm (2½ inches) high.
It weighs 150g (5½ oz).
The dials all work well and condition overall is good vintage condition, with wear as to be expected for an item of this vintage.
This would have looked fantastic gracing a desk back in the 1970s, and now it could grace yours...
