Gorgeous Vintage IMARI WARE Large Trinket Round BOX Made in Japan Peacocks Motif Blue Floral Design Japanese deals Porcelain Asian Oriental

-Beautiful Peacock Vintage Imari Ware Powder Trinket Box
-It is made of a fine quality porcelain material and is exceptionally well decorated. The base of the box has 2 thin rings of blue at top and bottom. In the middle of these is a continuing design of blue cabbage roses and other flowers, which look like forget-me-nots, and two large peacock and peahen birds. The top of the domed lid has these birds in larger detail. The peacock has brownish orangey tail feathers. They are perched on a dark brown tree limb and are surrounded by more large blue cabbage roses and the tiny blue flowers. A ring of these flowers forms an outer rim border which is edged in gold. The box is very ornate, very decorative.
-On the bottom is the full maker's mark, written in Japanese letters. Under these, in black lettering, it says "Imari Ware Japan".

Measurement: The box with lid stands approx. 3 deals inches tall. It measures 6 inches across the open box and the lid is just slightly wider, about 6 1/4 inches. The box is quite roomy and could easily hold half a pound of candies, or dusting power with puff, or perhaps lots of jewelry.

Condition: Great vintage condition, no chips or cracks, very, very minor wear to gold edge

This is a vintage item so there is an expected level of wear/tear that comes with age. This piece is in overall very good condition given its age
