I start with copper sheet metal and hand emboss the large letters of your last name, favorite phrase, etc.

Underneath I hand stamp your wedding or anniversary date along with the individual names. Hand stamping is optional. This can be done for a couple or family.

Some clients have no hand stamping, only a date hand stamped, only names hand stamped or both. Other's request couple names, family names or even a short phrase. We can do up to five hand stamped names. Please contact us for a special listing if you require more

Next, I torch fire a patina onto the copper. This is like painting with a torch. I can achieve an array of colors ranging from vibrant, to more subdued hues. The last two picture show a couple of variations. Each piece turns out unique and one of a kind. It is important to know, the colors appear different depending on the angle the copper catches the light, but they are all unique and beautiful.

The large embossed letters are painted with the torch meticulously. The letters are then individually hand sanded to show bits and pieces of the shiny metal. This gives the piece great character while contrasting with the aged and vibrant look of the patina,

The copper art is then placed on a finished wood piece and set with black finishing nails. This listing has a frame in decorative border wood.

Wood is done with a medium stain and protective varnish. You may also choose natural finish done with only varnish or dark stain.

Each sign comes with brackets for easy hanging. You may request wire or twine at no extra cost in note to seller at check-out.

Your sign will also look nice displayed in a picture easel.
