A scarce copy of an antique children's book entitled, 'Merry Mice', by E. Veale, published by Hubbard Publishing Co., Entered at Stationary Hall, Ward, Lock, & Co., Limited, Warwick House, Salisbury Square, London, E.C.. The amusing color illustrations by artist Palmer Cox, is also the author of the 'The Brownies' series of books. One of the illustrations on the cover is quite comical. A mouse sitting on the swing with another mouse dangling a spider over his head, with a large cob web up above.

This little soft cover book is filled with tales about 'Merry Mice' and was probably a give-way, advertising 'Frank Miller Crown Shoe Polish, for Children & Ladies'. The book is in good condition, although there are a few corner creases and measures; 4 1/2" x 5 3/4".

An unusual and fun antique children's book and advertisement which would make a wonderful addition to a collection.
