A handpainted pottery piece. Young girl in a yellow dress, green purse, longer brown hair. You can spin it safely 8 times (1/4 turns only). You'll feel it resist on 9th turn. This was separated to do a bit of cleaning and we came across a couple of engraved parts: • The base of the standing girl says, "HR" • The inside of the bottom base, where the musical box is, says "Hilegard 197" Being handmade, holes were drilled for the music box and girl. One hole went through the last number. So exact year is unknown. The music box plays Lara's deals Theme from Dr. Zhivago. Measurements are approximates only: Height: 12 in, Width: 6 in IMPERFECTIONS: Crazing & scratching throughout. This will need to be more thoroughly cleaned. The paint job does give it a bit of a dirty look on purpose so cleaning it won't make it "look" much cleaner. Due to its age, it plays well but, does have some "clicks" every once in a while. It may play a few notes periodically after it has stopped playing.
