Vintage Stavis Links For A Non French Cuff Shirt That Covers The Button Mother of Pearl Ballerina deals Dancer Wrap Around Cufflinks

Made by Stavis, this is a rare and unusual pair of cufflinks that are made for a non french cuff shirt that covers the button. The shiny gold tone round wrap around cufflinks have an inlaid mother of pearl ballerina dancer with black enamel body. The front is connected to the back with a wide solid band that is attached to a hinged closure.

On the back there is a pink lucite cabochon that you slide up to open, and slide down to lock. In the 8th picture, the deals left is locked, and the right is in open position. On the back of the cufflink is a U shaped bracket that goes through the button hole and then the back covers the unbuttoned button.

The face of the cufflinks measure 7/8 inch wide, 1 inch tall with the wrap and 1/16 inch thick. The button on the back is 5/16 inch in diameter. The lock is 1/2 inch in diameter and 5/16 inch thick.

The cufflinks are in very good vintage condition.

The inside on the lock is signed Stavis, Pat 2585181, CHI, for Chicago, where I bought them.

All items are carefully wrapped, placed in a new gift box and tied with curling ribbon.
